Perrysburg Christians United

Perrysburg Christians United (PCU) is a community service organization comprised of collaborating volunteers from eleven Christian churches in the Perrysburg area, including Saint Rose.  PCU believes it has been called to provide assistance to individuals, families, and the community to foster comfort of mind, body, and spirit during needful situations. PCU operates a food pantry and provides crisis assistance to those in need in the Perrysburg area. We also organize blood drives, toy drives, and various food drives throughout the year.

PCU Food Pantry

The PCU food pantry is located at Grace United Methodist Church at 601 East Boundary Street in Perrysburg. The pantry is located in the back, southeast corner of the parking lot. The pantry operates on the following schedule:

MONDAYS from 1:00-3:00 pm.
FRIDAYS from 9:00-11:00 am.

The pantry serves those who live in Wood County north of State Route 582. Those receiving food assistance must present two proofs of address (for example, a photo ID and a recent utility bill) and must verify that their income falls within the guidelines of the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.

How can I support the Food Pantry?

Members of participating churches donate non-perishable food on a monthly basis to keep the pantry stocked. The Saint Rose monthly collection schedule is as follows:

Food donations from Saint Rose should be placed in the PCU collection box located just inside the center doors of the Church in the vestibule. Cash and checks (made out to PCU) may be placed in the collection basket on Sunday or dropped off at the parish office during the week.

You can also volunteer to be a "pantry escort" or to register clients at the pantry on the fourth Friday of the month. Assistance is also needed for the annual Saint Rose Food Drive. Contact your Saint Rose PCU Representatives to volunteer:

Parishioners are given a plastic grocery bag after Mass and are asked to drive home, fill the bag with nonperishable food, and return the filled bag immediately to the church. Curbside attendants will be available at Saint Rose to collect your donations, as well as any monetary (cash or check) donations you may wish to contribute. Christmas Toy Project

PCU is proud to partner with the Perrysburg Township Fire Department to provide toys and food for those in need during the holiday season. To receive toys, families must complete an application at the Perrysburg Township Police Department. Applications are then sent to the Salvation Army for screening.

Donations of new toys can be dropped off at any PCU participating Church, the Way Public Library, and the Perrysburg Township Police and Fire Departments.
