EdChoice

K-8 Saint Rose families are now able to apply for the EdChoice Scholarship. This EdChoice Scholarship has proven to be a great resource for our families and our school. The average scholarship per student was over $3,000.00, helping our families see savings on their tuition costs. Saint Rose was also able to provide all teachers, aides, and support staff with a bonus to better compensate our faculty and staff. 

We look forward to our K-8 families being provided this opportunity.

Here are a few tips for our families:

• The forms are fillable and can be saved as a pdf and emailed, scanned and emailed, or dropped off to the school as a hard copy. Please, no pictures of forms.
• Select either the Traditional or Expansion EdChoice box at the top of the new application form. Traditional is based on your public school district. EdChoice Expansion is based on income. 
• Mrs. Pendell will be your main poit of contact at Saint Rose regarding the EdChoice application/renewal process. Her contact is: pendell@saintroseonline.org or edchoice@saintroseonline.org

Renewal Process

• Families need to complete the two-page renewal application each year and submit it to Saint Rose at edchoice@saintroseonline.org.
   
• Families need to submit a current utility bill that has the billing and service address listed separately to Saint Rose at edchoice@saintroseonline.org. CLICK HERE to see what utility bills may be used.
   
• The next step is to complete the check deposit consent form and provide a copy of it to the school.  
   
• Families that wish to be considered for tuition assistance beyond what EdChoice provides need to complete a tuition assistance form. The tuition assistance review form needs to be completed each year so that Saint Rose is compliant with any tuition assistance awards from the Scholarship Granting Organization. • Current families need to resubmit their incomce verification ONLY IF...
  • They believe they are now eligible for a larger scholarship due to changes in income levels
  • They wish to maintain their previously verified low-income status, meaning they demonstrated that the household income is 200% FPL or under. The low-income status that mandates schools waive tuition must be reverified every year.

Application Process For Families New to the EdChoice Scholarship

We are encouraging all families to apply for an EdChoice Scholarship.

The process to apply includes the following steps and all forms/copies can be submitted as hard copies to Mrs. Pendell or via email to edchoice@saintroseonline.org

• ​Complete the two-page application
• Provide a current utility bill which lists both a billing and service address
• Provide the birth certificate of your student
• Complete the check deposit consent form 
• Verify your income with the state of Ohio by submitting a form through the mail or, preferably, by creating an account and uploading an income document online.

• Finally, you will need to apply for Saint Rose Tuition Assistance for any tuition assistance needed beyond the EdChoice Scholarship. 

Affidavit for Minimum Scholarship Amount

Families that wish to only apply for the minimum scholarship ($616.60 for grades K-8 or $840.80 for grades 9-12), but do not wish to submit income information can now complete an affidavit, have it notarized, and submit it via the income verification portal. This affidavit may only be used in lieu of income information for applicants who are applying for the minimum scholarship amount. Once the affidavit is reviewed and approved, the scholarship system will assign an annual household income in the amount of $10 million, allowing applicants to be awarded the minimum amount for each child’s scholarship.
