Tuition Assistance

Saint Rose Catholic School strives to make an affordable Catholic education available to all who wish to receive it.  We have numerous options for tuition assistance. Our school administration and tuition assistance committee work with our families on an individual basis to their needs.  Please review the options below and feel free to contact our school with any questions that you may have.

Saint Rose Parish Sponsor-A-Student

Families interested in applying for financial assistance from Saint Rose Parish must make an application through SMARTAid, by April 15, 2019. 

Monthly Payments

All registered families are required to enroll in SMART Tuition.  Families may pay tuition in full by June 1, 2019, or choose 10 monthly payments (August through May.)  Enroll at   Saint Rose School ID code is 12961.

Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund

This fund provides need-based scholarships worth up to $1,200 for families who desire to send their child/children to an independent K-8 school.  This scholarship is awarded through a lottery system.  Applications are generally available from January to April for the following academic year.  For application information and requirements, please visit NOSF or contact the Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund office at (419) 720-7048.

Bishop's Grant

The Bishop's Grant provides tuition reimbursement of $1,000 for the first year, $500 for the second year and $250 for the third year for each child who qualifies. Any Catholic student, currently enrolled in a non-Catholic School (grades 1-8), is eligible to apply for the grant.  Grants are issued based on the availability of funds.  Application deadline is April 15, 2019.

EdChoice Expansion Scholarship

The Educational Choice Scholarship (EdChoice) Program from the Ohio Department of Education, provides students from underperforming public schools the opportunity to attend participating private schools. The program also provides low-income students who are entering kindergarten through fifth grade the same opportunity (EdChoice Expansion.) The program provides up to 60,000 EdChoice scholarships to eligible students.  For more information please CLICK HERE.

The Kang Family Foundation Scholarship

The Kang Family Foundation will be offering a scholarship to one or two Saint Rose School students in the 6th, 7th or 8th grade. Ideally, the student(s) will be academically motivated, dedicated to his/her faith, and show a love of his/her school and community, in addition to a demonstrated financial need. The scholarship will be in the amount of $2000 for one academic year (to be divided among the recipients if there is more than one).  This scholarship is in remembrance of Hae-Seok Kang and Hong-Eun Kim whose love of learning and patriotism for their country, South Korea, contributed to South Korean independence from Japan.
